I realized that my choice of options for grep did not do a very good job
of including the last error message before the INTERNAL ERROR. I've
included it in this email. Sorry.

Subject: INTERNAL ERROR Report
I have read the BUGS.txt file, used 'testparm' (successfully), and run
through all the steps in DIAGNOSIS.txt. I don't see any problems that
those tools have identified. The BUGS.txt file indicated that INTERNAL
ERROR was almost certainly the result of a bug. I'm hopeful I have sent
you the information you need. Let me know if there is something more I
need to send.
What I'm Doing:
- Running 2.2.7-security-rollup-fix of Samba on RH8
- Sharing 1 disk share, and [printers], and [print$]
- W2K Pro machine has downloaded drivers from [print$], intending to
print
to HP2200dn
- start smb service
- after approximately 8-12 hours, I have 4-5 SMBD processes running
(associated with user at 192.168.1.102 machine) and overall processor
utilization is at 90%+ (the norm is less than 5%).
- I end up having to restart the SMB service
- using CUPS for printing subsystem
- I can repeat the error
What I'm Sending You:
- a snipped version of log files, associated with the problem user.
What is Working:
- other W2K Pro machines are OK, as evidenced by no long-running
processes, and no INTERNAL ERRORs in their log files.
