Two machines connected via network. One is WinXP Pro, one is Slackware8.1/WinXP dual boot. The XP-only machines shares some directories which I can smbmount from within Linux, but with one flaw: the iocharset is not correct. Special german characters (???????) get garbles, turn into ? or whatever. fstab entry looks like this: //xerxes/mm1 /mnt/xerxes/d smbfs users,uid=1000,gid=100,rw,iocharset=8859-15,codepage=850,credentials=/etc/blo org 0 0 Samba version is 2.2.7a.
