samba - Aug 2002 - samba / ldap

could anyone tell me if samba.schema from samba 2.2.5 works whit 
openldap 1.2.12

No you need a version 3 LDAP server; OpenLDAP 2.0.x or greater

hello,

I would like to compile samba 2.2.5 with ldap support.
I have already added le line "--with-ldapsam" in the rules file before
compiling but during this compilation the process stop and i had this 
message :

without the option "--with-ldapsam" i have no problem. the compilation
is ok but i have not the ldap support.

Could someone give me an indice.

have you installed LDAP?
it can't find ldap.h, that would suggest that a development
package of LDAP must be installed, im not sure, just guessing
