samba - Aug 2002 - File Type recognition

Hi All,

My Administrator has recently installed SAMBA,, but unfortunately he cannot seem
to ensure
that ascii files copied from PC to UNIX have the correct return characters.

Is there some obvious config setup that ensures no line feed appears in ascii
files?

This doesn't exist, I believe. 
You will have to arrange it yourself. I use sed.
Which applications are complaining?
