samba - May 2002 - acces denied

hi i just installed samba and configure-it as pdc server, i have the following 
problem, when i try to login with an w2k station i get  an error telling me 
that windows cannot create an profile on:  \\server\profile\user.pds
the problem is that te user can't acces the \profile directory located on
the
server, but i don't know how to give permision to the user to that dir
the line in smb.conf looks loke this:

logon path = \\%N\profiles\%u

Of course, that might not be the real problem, but that's certainly 
something to look at.
