Configuring Solaris to print in printer connected to WINNT
Why does Linux freeze during install? I tried everything, Red Hat, Corel, BSD, etc and none work. I've checked computer hardware compaitbility, i've tried different hard drives....this sucks. Windows 2000 loads right up! I've tried, but this is gettin ridiculous. Anyw help? -----Original Message----- From: samba-admin@us5.samba.org [mailto:samba-admin@us5.samba.org]On Behalf Of gazapo_jf@tsm.es Sent: Monday, January 29, 2001 9:29 AM To: samba@us5.samba.org Subject: Configuring Solaris to print in printer connected to WINNT Hi, I'm can't make this work, I don't had very much problems configuring Linux to access the printer, but in solaris i don't know to do it. Hello, no problem , just type lpadmin -p<localprintername> -s<nt-workstation-name or ip-adress>!<printername existing on nt-server>. notice that localprintername is your own choice, the rest must match "real live" and of course the print-server service on your nt-server must be installed and active regards martin schreiber mailto:martin.schreiber@sbs.at
