wine users - Sep 2011 - Software passing mouse clicks and keystrokes back to X

I have a remote mouse/keyboard app for my iphone and the PC software can move
the mouse but does not pass mouse clicks or keystrokes to applications other
than those running under WINE.  Does anyone know of any way around this?

This is by design. Wine does not allow Windows applications to control outside
of Wine programs.
