No, nothing going on like that- one monitor, using nVidia card on my laptop. 
It's a good spot, though, I really don't know why that crops up.

I'm not to familiar with this issue.  Do you think it has anything to do
with a security technologies

Sometimes there are security issues that make this problem pop up.
