I have a problem with a software called Italian "LaParola (www.laparola.net). The installation is successful, but when I access the program, I do not see the menu, which is transparent. Using Wine 1.3 on Ubuntu 10.10. This is the first time I participate in the forum: I try to post a screenshot but I'm not sure to succeed ...

We have disabled the ability to attach files on the forum. However, we do need more information to help you. Can you capture a logging file when you startup the program? The Wine FAQ has two entries to help you do this: http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#run_from_terminal http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log If the log file generated is larger than a couple of kilobytes, please post it to the Ubuntu pastebin and then post ONLY the URL (including all of the characters) here. Also, this may be a known bug. Please peruse the Wine Bugzilla to see if the problem has been reported. Thank you. James McKenzie
I think the log file is this:> carlo at wilbur:~$ cd /home/carlo/.wine/drive_c/Programmi/bibbia > carlo at wilbur:~/.wine/drive_c/Programmi/bibbia$ wine bibbia.exe > fixme:actctx:parse_depend_manifests Could not find dependent assembly L"Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls" (6.0.0.0) > err:ole:CoGetClassObject class {0e59f1d5-1fbe-11d0-8ff2-00a0d10038bc} not registered > err:ole:create_server class {0e59f1d5-1fbe-11d0-8ff2-00a0d10038bc} not registered > err:ole:CoGetClassObject no class object {0e59f1d5-1fbe-11d0-8ff2-00a0d10038bc} could be created for context 0x5 > fixme:win:LockWindowUpdate (0x10110), partial stub! > fixme:win:LockWindowUpdate (0x10110), partial stub! > fixme:win:LockWindowUpdate ((nil)), partial stub! > fixme:win:LockWindowUpdate ((nil)), partial stub! >

How did you install it? James McKenzie
I downloaded the file from this address http://www.laparola.net/programma/scaricw.php (link "Versione standard"), then I selected the right button, then I selected "Open with Wine". The installation was successful, but once completed and restart the program (and computer) I can not see the menus, which appear transparent to them. The installation of Wine was good and it also installed regularly the .NET framework.
