wine users - Aug 2009 - Wine help OS X Tiger 10.4.11

I installed WINE today through Macports, I have X11. X11 SDK and Xcode
installed.  I am trying to get an old game called Axis and allies 1998 which
I've got to work in Ubuntu before just fine working on this mac.

I installed the game, and when I try to run the game .exe I get the following
error in the terminal and the game never opens.

I am unsure how to make heads or tails with that error message, any ideas to fix
this?

You will need to do the following:

1. Upgrade to Leopard.
2. Install Security Update to Leopard to bring it to version 10.5.7
3. Install XQuartz 2.3.3.2

OR

1. Install Mike Kronenberg's last release of Darwine, 1.1.22, which has
a patch for this problem.

The function is not available with Tiger nor will it ever be.

How exactly do I upgrade to Leopard?  Today is the first day I've ever used
a Mac and am finding it extremely different than what I am used to.
