wine users - Feb 2001 - Segfault creating font metrics

I have a solaris X86 Xfree 3.3  system and I have trouble  when Wine
tries to create the font metrics

trace:font:XFONT_BuildMetrics   [ 9pt]
'-misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--14-110-100-100-c-70-iso8859-1'

Can anyone give me some ideas how to fix this

The idea is to remove the faulting font.
However, I have posted a tentative patch on 01/28 
to try to make Wine eliminate these fonts
all by itself. Try it.
