CentOS - Mar 2005 - App won''t install "slurm" is unsupported

I''m trying to install an application that requires RHEL 2.1.  Is there
a way to set the reported version of linux so that applications
looking for Redhat versions will install?

The application errors out saying

"Verifying Red Hat Linux Release: slurm ... FAIL"

and then

"Red Hat Linux: "Slurm" is unsupported

It might be looking for the /etc/redhat-release file.  Try modifying the
file to match a Red Hat release to see if that helps.
