[Request] Slurm
Hi, I really like the tool "slurm", which lets me monitor bandwidth usage realtime from within screen.. I would really appreciate it if this could be added to CentOS.. http://www.wormulon.net/slurm/ If some other tool that covers this need exists, I'll be glad to hear about it. -- Cheers, Morten

Filesystem won't mount because of "unsupported optional features (80)"
I made a filesystem (mke2fs -j) on a logical volume under kernel 2.6.20 on a 64-bit based system, and when I try to mount it, ext3 complains with EXT3-fs: dm-1: couldn't mount because of unsupported optional features (80). I first thought I just forgot to make the filesystem, so I remade it and the error is still present. I ran fsck on this freshly made filesystem, and it completed with

Mac OS X HFS+ metadata patch, take 2
Hi. Several months ago, I posted my first pass at a patch to transfer Mac OS X HFS+ metadata (resource forks and Finder metadata) to non-HFS+ filesystems (Linux, Solaris, etc). I finally got a chance to update the patch to reflect suggestions offered on the list. Thanks for the ideas, this version should be a big improvement. The diff and a binary (and a fuller explanation) can be found at:

Provide AcceptEnv variables to a Linux PAM module?
I've been looking for a while and can't figure out for sure if variables allowed by AcceptEnv are readable by a PAM module. I looked through the openssh source code and found a few calls to pam_putenv(), which looks like the relevant call, but I don't see anything that would copy over AcceptEnv variables. Am I correct that the variables are not available to PAM? I'm

CentOS 5.4 64bit default Xen install won''t start, garbled boot screen
Hi everyone Ok this is really strange. I''ve been messing around with Xen for the past few weeks on a 32bit test machine and CentOS 5.4 and it''s been working fine. Today I went into the office on a Sunday to install Xen on our server but I had a major problem. The server is a home-build with a Tyan s5211 motherboard with an Intel i3210w chipset CentOS 5.4 64bit installed and

Specifying that code is called in a block
Not sure if this is possible currently. I have a section of code like this: ActiveRecord::Base.transaction do cow.save! duck.save! dog.save! end (Names changed to protect the innocent.) I''d like to specify that the saves run in a transaction. I can do ActiveRecord::Base.should_receive(:transaction).and_yield But is there any way to specify that the code is

Won''t boot to Xen, GRUB Problem
I am installing Xen on a remote server. I left the other kernels on the grub.conf and made xen the default to boot from. The box didn''t boot into Xen on reboot but I''m not sure why. Here is my Xen config file: # grub.conf generated by anaconda # # Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this file # NOTICE: You have a /boot partition. This means that #

OpenMPI not compiled with Torque support
The OpenMPI package that ships with CentOS 5.1 does not seem to be compiled with torque support. It does, however, seem to be compiled with gridengine and slurm support. Would it be possible to get this changed?

centos driver disk?
the recent discussion of support for Promise SATA drives reminded me that a while back i remember reading about a project to assemble a driver disk to provide wider hardware support than just stock CentOS. how's that coming along? i don't see anything in the wiki about it... as i have a vested interest in this project (since i'm still relying on old MegaRAID controllers),
