[Asterisk-Users] single dialplan for multiple Asterisk machines
I have heard it mentioned several times by different people but can anyone explain to me how you can set up a single dialplan for 2 or more than asterisk boxes located on the same local network? MATT---
I can not transfer a call to the call park extension from a SIP phone. I can from the Zaptel FXS. Both phones are in the same context? Any Ideas? Kevin

Also search the archives for switch.. Basically it will query the other Asterisk server when an extension cannot be located locally.. Later..

Matt, It's done by using the switch keyword in extensions.conf Thus if you fill in the stuff below correctly and make the appropriate settings in iax.conf: switch => IAX/username:password@server/context Will send all extensions which cannot be resolved in the local dialplan, over IAX to the asterisk instance where your switch statement is pointing to. They will end up in the context you specify. I read in the message archives that call Park may not be supported using sip phones. Can this be true? I can not transfer a call to the call park extension from a SIP phone. I can from the Zaptel FXS. Both phones are in the same context? Any Ideas? Could use some assistance please.... I have failed to get past the cisco gauntlet and am prevented from accessing the 7940 firmware required to get SIP on the phones I purchased on ebay. I would be happy to buy the cisco support but they tell me I have to be IP-tel certified first, this is no small feat, requiring they say, a min of 6 certifications and 3 staff members. Cisco offers some kind of equipment re-certification, testing etc. then purchase a new liscence for the phone, time consumming and expensive. I am aware of the "bitten in the ass syndrome" which I carefully avoid most of the time however I am bitten and need some help. Please advise. Robert J Rae Softprofit Solutions
