Hello, I'm new to Asterisk and would like to know SIP support status. Are there any testing been done with some widely deployed client (Cisco SIP IP phone, ...)? I was using Vocal but I'm now interested in Asterisk as it seems to offer more features...if it supports SIP. Thanks for your help. Francois.
I'm using Asterisk with 35-50 Cisco 7940s , and a T100P with a 23 channel PRI and we are all working very well. Sound quality is excellent and everything works that I have tried. So I would say Asterisk is VERY compatible with SIP -----Original Message----- From: Francois Dessart [mailto:fdessart2@ibelgique.com] Sent: Tuesday, April 15, 2003 9:05 AM To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: [Asterisk-Users] SIP support status Hello, I'm new to Asterisk and would like to know SIP support status. The X100P works like a dream... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Francois Dessart" <fdessart2@ibelgique.com> Date: Tue, 15 Apr 2003 16:18:05 +0200 To: <asterisk-users@lists.digium.com> Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] SIP support status> That's exactly what I want to do: > > A few Cisco SIP IP phones (10-15) with a X100P card to interface with an > analog phone line. > > Are call-forward,.... supported with current SIP status? > > The Digium X100P card is a lot cheaper than Quicknet LineJack....is the > quality still there? > > Thanks > > Francois. > > > > > I'm using Asterisk with 35-50 Cisco 7940s , and a T100P with a 23 channel > PRI and we are all working very well. > > Sound quality is excellent and everything works that I have tried. > > > > So I would say Asterisk is VERY compatible with SIP > > > > > > Hello, > > > > I'm new to Asterisk and would like to know SIP support status. > > Are there any testing been done with some widely deployed client (Cisco > SIP > > IP phone, ...)? > > > > I was using Vocal but I'm now interested in Asterisk as it seems to offer > > more features...if it supports SIP. > > > > Thanks for your help. > > > > Francois. > > > > _______________________________________________ > > Asterisk-Users mailing list > > Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com > > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users > > > > > > > > _______________________________________________ > > Asterisk-Users mailing list > > Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com > > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users > > _____________________________________________________________________ > > Envie de discuter en "live" avec vos amis ? The X100P had very bad echo problems with SIP on it - so we had to revert back to a cisco router with FXO ports for one location. But the T100P is doing very well. Call-Forward on the Cisco 7940 can be done with some AGI scripting with Asterisk. -----Original Message----- From: Francois Dessart [mailto:fdessart2@ibelgique.com] Sent: Tuesday, April 15, 2003 10:18 AM To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Cc: DUSTIN WILDES Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] SIP support status That's exactly what I want to do: A few Cisco SIP IP phones (10-15) with a X100P card to interface with an analog phone line. Are call-forward,.... supported with current SIP status? The Digium X100P card is a lot cheaper than Quicknet LineJack....is the quality still there? I did but the echo was still pretty bad. Also, enabling that option seemed to affect full-duplexing. Whenever you tried to talk while the other person was talking, you couldn't hear the other person as you talked. -----Original Message----- From: John Harragin [mailto:jharragi@mw.k12.ny.us] Sent: Tuesday, April 15, 2003 6:16 PM To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] SIP support status did you try to uncomment KFLAGS+=-DAGGRESSIVE_SUPPRESSOR in the zaptel?
