I am working on Ubuntu and tried to install FastRWeb, but am getting the
following error for installation of cairo.h.

Hi, I don't know what FastRWeb does, but it appears to me that you need the developmental files for Cairo installed. I don't use ubuntu, but perhaps installing cairo-dev might help? Please do read the output, it tells you: Please install cairo (http://www.cairographics.org/) and/or set CAIRO_CFLAGS/LIBS correspondingly. And that is exactly what you need to do, it cannot be solved by installing R packages....
