Hi, I just purchased a new laptop and would like to set it up to boot from ZFS. I read in newsgroups that it was predicted to be included into b83, but this apparently didn''t happen. Is there any prediction when this may be available? Thanks, Paul

Also, what other things are coming with ZFS boot in b87? Or is it just support for it in the installer? Regards, -mg -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Hi Lori, Do you happen to know any update on Live Update zfs support? Thanks, Ivan. This message posted from opensolaris.org

That''s really a great news the feature should be working along with zfs-aware installer, that''s one major thing SXCE lags behind Indiana. Thanks for the great news. But again, it''s the Caiman installer bundled with SXCE (via the SXDE boot option), that''ll get ZFS support, right? (Just got reminded about asking for it, because I''ve tried using it on build 83 for my new laptop, but refrained because I can''t edited the slices in it. ZFS root and boot would be a different thing). Regards, -mg -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
