Hi
I just loaded up opensolaris on an X4500 (Thumper) and tried to connect
to the ZFS GUI (https://xxxxx:6789)...and it is not there.
Is this not part of Open Solaris...or do I just need to work out how to
switch it on..
Thanks
Tim

It should be there... try starting the webconsole service. Thanks Chris
someone else has suggested that to me but it still does not work.
I also tried...
# svccfg -s svc:/system/webconsole setprop options/tcp_listen = true
# svcadm refresh svc:/system/webconsole
Still no luck..then I tried..
#/usr/sbin/netservices open
Still not working..
I am running snv_82, a fresh install: is there anything else that I
should enable/disable ?
I have seen something about "Secure by Default" in open solaris but
thought that "netservices open" opened it all up.
Hmmm...

By default the webconsole only listens locally but it looks like you''ve already set it to listen to external TCP requests. Whenever I''ve changed this property I had to do a full disable and then enable for the change to take effect. Might be worth a try. : ) On 2/14/08, Michael Schuster <Michael.Schuster at sun.com> wrote:> Tim Thomas wrote: > > Thanks Chris > > > > someone else has suggested that to me but it still does not work. > > > > I also tried... > > > > # svccfg -s svc:/system/webconsole setprop options/tcp_listen = true > > # svcadm refresh svc:/system/webconsole > > > > Still no luck..then I tried.. > > > > #/usr/sbin/netservices open > > > > Still not working.. > > > > I am running snv_82, a fresh install: is there anything else that I > > should enable/disable ? > > > are you sure the service is actually running? does "svcs -a | grep > webconsole" say "online"? > > HTH > Michael > > -- > Michael Schuster http://blogs.sun.com/recursion > Recursion, n.: see ''Recursion'' >-- Chris
