Hi experts,

Could anyone please help explain these?

1. However, we do use a slightly modified set of warnings to get the 
clean build we have today.
Q: Is it a build that doesn''t have any warning or error?

2. Removing a data disk from a system running on SPARC processors and 
attaching it to an x64 box is now completely transparent.
Q: Can we understand "box" here as "architecture"?

3. This page exists to assist folks with the porting process, as well as 
provide a common page for people to share their experiences and gotchas 
they find.
Q: "gotcha" means "trap"?

Not quite; "box" in this context is another word for machine or
system.
So attaching a disk from a SPARC system to an x64 machine/server/system
is now transparant.

Gotchas means unexpected side effects or requirements.  So you could
say something like "I''ve discovered a way to get $100,000 from my
insurance company.  The gotcha is that I have to cut off one of my
arms".

English can be a terribly complicated language, even for us native
speakers!  :-)
