Hey folks, Currently I am running a domU with 2.6.26-2-xen-amd6 on a 2.6.18-5-xen-amd64 host. I didn''t expect it to work but atm it runs without errors. Am I right when saying that this will only be a problem if certain xen calls are made which are available to the child but are not in the host? Do I have to expect an unstable DomU? Thanks for helping me understand. Regards Thomas _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Xen is baremetal hypervisor and that means that all DomUs and also Dom0 are virtualized. DomUs talk to hypervisor, not to the privileged Dom0. Privileged Dom0 is for Xen hypervisor to communicate with actual hardware in computer. As far as you don''t stumble on any bugs , you should be OK!
