[Xen-users] Unable to complete install Could not find an installable distribution (XEN)
Hi When i am pointing Xen to install from the URL,I get the error: Could not find an installable distribution. How can i make xp vm on XEN ,Brifly I have created a soft link of xp cd ,please any suggestion about it. I am using paravertulization. I don''t believe you can do a paravirtualized VM for XP. You have to use an HVM VM. Hi If you are using XCP then you will need to create a shared NFS ISO repository which has the ISO copied. Then insert the ISO while creating VM to install XP. On a plain XEN you can directly give ISO file path to install. Windows does not support paravirt and you will have to install it in HVM (ISO mode instead of a Netwok Install). However, you can install paravirt network and disk drivers which will surely give you a boost in performance.
