-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello, I''m facing a strange issue here. I''m trying to mount a NFS share inside a PV DomU and mount fails with following message: # mount -t nfs xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:/backups /media/backups mount.nfs: No such device I''ve to say that this domU was a HVM one I converted into PV. This may explain that but I can not figure out what happen. I also have this message in logs: modprobe: FATAL: Could not load /lib/modules/2.6.32-5-xen-amd64/modules.dep: No such file or directory Must I install dom0 PV kernel modules inside domU ? Try to install XEN kernel inside DomU and copy this kernel and initrd into /boot/xen/ on Dom0. Then change the line DomU config (kernel, initrd) according to installed kernel. If some problems write - I will help you. Regards, Marcin Kuk _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Re: [Xen-users] NFS share mount failed in PV domU
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello again, All is fine now, thanks to your explanations. Thought it was possible to use domU without any kernel installed. Indeed, it is possible, except when you want to use NFS :-) Regards, JB Le 30/11/2010 22:32, Marcin Kuk a écrit :> 2010/11/30 Jean Baptiste FAVRE <xen-users@jbfavre.org>: >> -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- >> Hash: SHA1 >> >> Hello, >> I''m facing a strange issue here. >> >> I''m trying to mount a NFS share inside a PV DomU and mount fails with >> following message: >> # mount -t nfs xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:/backups /media/backups >> mount.nfs: No such device >> >> I''ve to say that this domU was a HVM one I converted into PV.
