Hi All, Does anyone know of any open source web management applications that include high availability, whether using DRBD+heartbeat/pacemaker or Remus.>From what I can tell from my research so far, as soon as you want thesefeatures in a web interface you need to get the wallet out! Best Regards, Mark _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
So.. This subject seems to be taboo, hope it''s not because citrix owns Xen (and only makes money out of management features), or even worse that there are a load of companies all building in house software to provide the same solutions to their clients. Of course if it were an open solution, we could all provide a much better service to our clients. If anyone want''s to discuss this further please email me. Hi, Thanks for your response. I''ve looked at all of these before, and while ganeti provides the HA it is old and has no web interface. The others offer interfaces but either have no HA or only do with enterprise $$ option. As for Open Xen manager, which I''ve not seen before, I can''t see any HA options - Please point me to a page if I''m wrong! It is still in both active use and active development, with various features in the planning pipeline. It does, however, not provide a graphical or web UI, but that is by design. If desired, one could write graphical/web frontend for either the Ganeti commandline interface or the RAPI (Remote API) of Ganeti. It does not support HA yet, but this is on their roadmap if I''m not mistaking. Me, I made myself a temporary solution by means of Xming and Appwizard to have a sort of mini-console able to start hb_gui, virt-manager and virt-viewer. This helps me to at least manage things from whatever Windows station. (including 4?)It works well with at least 3.4, and possible 4.0. Also, 2.0 is not the latest version, please see http://docs.ganeti.org/ganeti/2.1/html/install.html (the documented Xen versions are not up-to-date though). regards, iustin _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
