[Xen-users] DomU and bridge mode, 2 intefaces.
Hi, My physical machine has 2 interfaces : 1 to LAN (eth1), 1 to WAN(eth0) and has a public IP outside of the public ip''s pool of my DomUs. So, in order to use bridge mode, i use a dummy interface(dummy0) in Dom0 to have the same /29 network between Dom0 and DomU. i have created a script called by xend-config.sxp with : #! /bin/sh "$dir/network-bridge" "$@" vifnum=0 netdev=? bridge=XenBrWAN "$dir/network-bridge" "$@" vifnum=1 netdev=eth1 bridge=XenBrLAN Should i put eth0 or dummy0 as netdev ? Should i manually put some new iptables forward rules ? i have this for now : ACCEPT 0 -- 212.212.35.226 0.0.0.0/0 PHYSDEV match --physdev-in vif2.0 but why it is vif2.0 and not dummy0 or vif0.0? Thanks in advance, Jeje. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

You want to run some domUs on a bridge connected to the one physical interface, and some connedted to the other, right? Why do you not simply create two bridges, and configure each domU to use one of thise with the bridge= parameter? What''s the problem?> i have created a script called by xend-config.sxp with : > #! /bin/sh > "$dir/network-bridge" "$@" vifnum=0 netdev=? bridge=XenBrWAN > "$dir/network-bridge" "$@" vifnum=1 netdev=eth1 bridge=XenBrLANFor what do you need the vifnum> > Should i put eth0 or dummy0 as netdev ?I don''t see what this should bring.> Should i manually put some new iptables forward rules ?I also don''t see what forwarding should bring in a bridged setup. Maybe I am missing some important information, but I don''t see your problem here. As this is the second time you ask this, also nobody else seems to understand it. Maybe my questions here will help solve this. Henning _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
