I hate to ask these type of questions but I don''t want to waste money on the wrong parts. I am wanting to build a new Xen box with dual core dual processor with hardware virtualization on the chip. I have been reading the site that shows the processors that work with xen, do any of the new AMDs that have hardware virtualization work with Xen? I am looking at the pentium D series without hyperthreading, the wiki shows the pentium D 9x0 series. Can anybody verify which of the 9x0 series have HW VT that works with xen? Sorry for the OT question, Jon _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

But it''s dealt with in a lot of other posts on this list, and I''m not gonna repeat them - please search and read the list archive first (as with any other questions) - if something''s keeps unclear, refer to a post which you didn''t understand, or ask for the mssing bit of information. The wiki (not sure which "site" you mean above) also has quite some information. All AMD CPUs with Socket AM2 (and the new server socket), are supported by Xen and have hardware virtualization. But your BIOS (and to some extend the Chipset) must support it, too. -- /"\ Goetz Bock at blacknet dot de -- secure mobile Linux everNETting \ / (c) 2006 Creative Commons, Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 de X [ 1.
