All, I was looking at the scripts available to create new domains when I boot up from the Xen live CD. There are scripts in /sbin with names start_debian.sh start_netbsd.sh etc. I started on a few domains. These scripts specify a COW file system for the disk. I was wondering if such support is already there in Xen. Allowing different domains to share a common root file system, and storing differences in local copies. I could find it in demo CD basd on Xen 2.0.5 and not in the Xen 2.0.7 that I have. The problem is it takes a lot of time/space to clone a Vm if each has an independent root disk.
