Re: [Xen-users] Fixed MAC address causes spurios network connectivityloss.
Thats very interesting, ive got a set of domUs that have flakey networking, all of which have a ''fixed'' mac... They just drop off the network, arp tells me the mac address is incomplete, from both domU and dom0 Sometimes they recover after a while im gonna try letting Xen allocate macs and see how it goes g On 9/2/05, Ian Pratt <m+Ian.Pratt@cl.cam.ac.uk> wrote:> > > If I uncomment the "vif = " line in the configuration file > > the VM''s network is rock solid, but I need a fixed MAC > > address because of the flex license manager that runs on the VM. > > Are you sure some other machine on your network isn''t also using that > MAC? > > > I''m running Xen 2.0.6 with Debian Sarge in domain-0, various > > RedHat domUs. > > You may wish to upgrade to 2.0.7 or 2.0-testing anyhow. > > Ian > > _______________________________________________ > Xen-users mailing list > Xen-users@lists.xensource.com > http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users >_______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
