[Xen-devel] /usr/lib/xen/bin/qemu-dm: invalid option -- ''-vcpu_avail''
Hi, I''m trying to build a xen-qemu-dm-4.0 package to support the HVM part of the Xen 4.0 package that will be soon in Debian experimental. When I start an HVM domain, I have the following subject line of this thread in my /var/log/xen/qemu-dm-XXXX.log file, and then it stops here. Any idea what I should do to fix? Thomas P.S: my build is using a clone of http://xenbits.xensource.com/git-http/qemu-xen-4.0-testing.git _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel

RE: [Xen-devel] /usr/lib/xen/bin/qemu-dm: invalid option -- ''-vcpu_avail''
Hi, Thomas How do you transfer config para to qemu? manually or by xm-->xend-->qemu (that need define ''vcpus='' and ''maxvcpus='' at config file)? In my opinion, the option to qemu should be ''vcpu_avail xxx'', NOT ''-vcpu_avail xxx''. Would you please try accordingly, or give me more detail clue? Truth is, there''s no vcpu_avail parameter at all in my VM, which was by the way working like a charm with previous version of Xen. Adding such parameter doesn''t change anything to my issue, it seems. I don''t even have a clue where the userland tools are adding that "-vcpu_avail" parameter (which is what I''m looking for in fact). vcpu_avail is a new thing in 4.0, right?
