[Xen-devel] FW: [Xen-users] Can''t make xenoprof work twice
Hi I have seen the same problem too. After collecting one set of events (2 counters), we have to restart the domain in order for xenoprof to work. Are there some files/buffers that are not being reset when we start the profiler again with a new set of events. I do an opcontrol --reset and deinit each time on both dom0 and domU before starting the sampling. Thanks -Padma -----Original Message----- From: xen-users-bounces@lists.xensource.com [mailto:xen-users-bounces@lists.xensource.com] On Behalf Of Pablo Montesinos Sent: Friday, July 28, 2006 3:36 PM To: xen-users@lists.xensource.com Subject: [Xen-users] Can''t make xenoprof work twice Hi I am trying to profile a benchmark running on domain 1. So I launch the domain, run the benchmark and the profiler, everything works fine. Now, suppose I want to profile it again... there is no luck. I have to restart the domain. Any suggestion? Padma, What version of Oprofile an Xen are you using? Could you send the sequence of commands that you use and what exactly is the behavior you observe? I would like to reproduce the problem here.
