Folks, I''m pleased to announce the official release of xen 3.0.2! This release updates the bundled linux kernel version to 2.6.16, and makes xen a config option for i386/x86_64 builds rather than a separate top-level architecture. Support has been added for AMD''s new virtualization extensions, alongside the existing support for Intel VT. Oh, and we fixed a bunch of bugs along the way too! You can download src and binary tarballs along with RPMs for common distros from: http://xensource.com/xen/downloads/ As usual, you can download the source using mercurial from: http://xenbits.xensource.com/xen-3.0-testing.hg Enjoy :) Cheers, Ian (on behalf of the whole xen team) _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel

The links leads to the latest version, 3.0.2 currently. James _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel

As it''s also used by some(a lot?) people to check compatibility, and there seem(it sounds like that, from reading this list) to be bigger differences in driver and hardware support as one would expect in a minor minor version change, it would be cool if the test and demo cd''s where updated. I can''t find one > :)For simplicity (e.g., not having to build multiple, different kernels), it''s recommended to use the *-xen (without "U" or "0" suffix) Kernel for dom0 and domU. There are different experiences doing so, and lastly it''s a matter of taste and what you exactly wanna do to decide if you need two separate kernels. The README should explain how to build all three possible kernel types.
