We have test latest xen on VT platforms with Intel 915/E8500 chipset.
VMX domain has some issues recently, we are resolving these problem.
IA-32:
Build&Boot SMP xen0 without problem ( builder is gcc 3.4.2/Fedora Core
3)
Can bootup unmodified 2.4/2.6 linux on VMX domain
Can NOT bootup unmodified Window XP on VMX domain
Can bootup VMX & XenU with different configuration
Part of LTP runs well in VMX domain(2.6)
IA-32e:
Build&Boot SMP xen0 without problem (builder is gcc 3.4.3/RHEL4u1)
Can bootup unmodified 2.4/2.6 IA-32 mode linux on VMX domain
Can NOT bootup unmodified 2.6 IA-32e mode linux on VMX domain
Can NOT bootup unmodified Window XP on VMX domain
Can bootup IA-32 mode VMX & xenU with different configuration
issues:
- VMX guest hang in booting up on IA-32 service OS, if XEN was builded in
gcc 3.4.3/RHEL4u1 system.
- IA-32e mode VMX guest make service OS hang on IA-32e mode service OS.
- vcpu-pin on VMX guest will hang service OS.
