In the meantime, I cannot boot Dom0 on an ibm x335 and I am not sure what the problem is. Any insights are welcome. Do you have the output from a successful boot of native Linux? What type of drive is /dev/sda? Is it SATA or real SCSI? The problem was that my scsi disk driver was not compiled in the default xen0 kernel. Silly me, I should have looked there first!
