you can also give -perf argument to get on screen fps and many other things.

I'm running it like this:
wine gw2.exe -fps 50 -perf

Same, only issues I noticed were 2 crashes during gameplay during the weekend,
the patcher crash, and the general low framerate when there's lots going on
and I'm turning the camera.

System Specs:
6x AMD PhenomII 1090T Processors
16G RAM
GForce GTX 460 with 2G RAM
wine 1.5.0

Unless something bad happens during optimization, I concur that GW2 can be
Platinum rated straight out of the gate.  :D
