wine users - Mar 2012 - Sopcast through Wine

I use OS X 10.7 Lion and use Sopcast through Wine to stream sport. I get a black
screen in Sopcast but by using VLC  1 (version 2 does not work), I get a perfect
picture with VLC. Can anyone suggest why there is no video on Sopcast please?
Also why VLC 2 does not work please?

Has anybody succeeded in getting a version of Sopcast newer that 3.0.3 to work
in Wine. I am thinking of installing Wine even though it is complicated but hope
it will work with the latest version. Can anyone help please?
