Can someone help me please. I am a new Linux user. I am running Zorin Linux on my computer. I am trying to use a Language Learning program called Teach Me Irish; a windows based software. I used Wine 1.2.2(?) to install the software on my computer. It appeared to have installed fine, and I activated the software. However, when I try to use the software, it will initially load, but when I click on one of the links which takes you to a learning module (i.e. Vocabulary, Grammar, Stories, Etc.), The software crashes. It does this no matter what learning module link I click on. Can anyone give me any thoughts or suggestions. Contacting the Software manufacturer is no good, as the guy who wrote the software is a bit of a grump. :-( Respects Mark

I tried uninstalling the version of wine that came with this distro. Could not get wine to completely uninstall; and putting things back the way they were was a pain. I get the impression from the Zorin-os website that it is somewhat proprietary. If it weren't for the fact that I really like the look of it, I'd just wipe the hard drive and install Ubuntu, Xubuntu, or some other distro. But I'd really like to get this Language program working with this Distro. Also I have a Vivitar Vinoculars with built in Camera which the OS won't recognize. NOW THERE'S a fun situation. Tired getting it to work with Windows XP and Vista, even had the company send me the disk that is supposed to go with it, and which is supposed to install the drivers.... Yeah... THAT didn't work. :x Respects, Mark
