wine users - Nov 2009 - Linux

Hey, I'm trying to install Ubuntu from the live CD. The Ububtu option screen
comes up, I select Start or Install Ubuntu from Live CD. Then the screen goes
black for a moment and give a message giving some sort of timer error and for me
to set noapic as a boot option, what could be causing this? I have ran Ubuntu
perfectly fine in the past with most of the other versions, this is version 7.10
and it doesn't seem to wanna work. Any help?
