I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 64bit and Wine 1.1.32. I have installed d3dx9 and vcrun2005 by winetricks. I want to run the game from Windows installation. Everything seems to be OK in terminal, but I get only sound and black screen with green "things" in place of menus. I've tried every solution from AppDB but it doesn't work. Any ideas?

This program may not be runable from a Windows installation to a Windows drive. James McKenzie
Well, I did that in the first place. Now I want to run it from Windows installation only because it works on Win.
I installed it because it won't work out of the box for me, unfortunately. When I was installing it for the first time I first completely removed Wine, so reinstalling in a new prefix is pointless. I guess so. I already tried to run Wine both in normal and desktop mode - effect is the same.
We can't help you with the information you've given. When you try to install or run it out-of-the-box do you get any errors? What is the terminal output (by running in terminal)? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
