wine users - Nov 2009 - Changing Machine Id ?

Sup, 
is it possible to change the given machine id in wine? 
By default it seems to be 0. I've searched my ass off but found nothing.
I need to change it to a more windows-like value to register some of my
VST-Plugins ... requesting help.
