wine users - Nov 2009 - Age of Conano AOC still not drawing anything

This thread shows the bug where AOC patcher doesn't draw anything, blank
window.

And I get the same error:
fixme:xrender:X11DRV_AlphaBlend not a dibsection

My winecfg "about" shows 1.1.32.

I've installed d3dx9 and directx9 with winetricks.

Also, Cabal and I have 2 other games that tell me I don't have DirectX 9.0c

Cabal installed but the updater says directx 9.0c missing.

Alganon wont install, says that directx 9.0c is not complete and needs to be
updated, only choice is to continue update, which fails.

I have Wow and guildwars working fine.
