[Wine] Game in Wine 1.0.1 on Mint 6 max. cpu but not on Windows.
Installed Halo Through POL in wine 1.0.1 on Mint 6. Game plays but is slow. I checked my system monitor during game play and my cpu was maxed. IN windows this does not happen. I have not seen much in reviews for Halo. System I have it on is Hp 2.4 Ghz single core amd athlon 64. 256 mb video nvidia and 1.5 gig of ram. Running on 32 bit mint 6. Also in game play fps is below 10. Before the game starts in the video it is 25-30 fps. I have dropped all effects to the lowest levels and even cut off compiz on my desktop. Any help would be great.

However, I have an idea, Wine will attempt to use more than one CPU/Core, but if the game is not multi-threaded, then everything will be loaded onto one. That happens here on MacOSX as well. Well my system is a single core amd. Is there anywhere I may edit it so it does not load up my cpu. I am new to wine but not to linux. I am not scarred to get my hands dirty. I want to learn all I can about wine. And maybe its just the game. or my system. It does have some age on it. Not cutting edge for sure. Thanks Henry
