I have the latest version of wine, but when i try to install Assassin's creed using it, it tries to load then crashes with no error message. Can someone help me with this please?
I have the d3dx9_36.dll added in the system32 folder aswell.

Remove / rename it. Make sure it is gone and repeat the install. MAKE SURE to always run Wine as your regular user and NEVER as root.
I downloaded another one and that doesn't work either. Do you know where I can get a no-cd patch that works? Ive searched google and can't download torrent ones

Yea it passes that then just shuts off.
Ok it now runs the intro movie but then it freezes with a white screen when its
