wine users - Nov 2009 - No Graphic Card Detected - Problem

Ok so i installed Kubuntu 9.10 linux since Ubuntu 9.10 kept freezing,
anyways i installed Wine and then i installed World of Conflict, without
any problems.

I cracked the game all fine but when i try to run it i get ERROR saying,
that i need a 3D Graphic Card installed.

My Asus F5 uses, external ATI HD 3470 256 MB, i can find the drivers
on asus website they come in a .run file but when i installed them
there was no change so next thing i did is use 

Hardware Drivers software from the Kubuntu and it detected ATI/AMD
graphic card drivers so i activated the driver and it was downloaded
and installed. After a reboot i started the game again and got the same
problem again.

The game worked on max graphic setting on Windows.

Can you please help me out here..

I'm having the same problem with ubuntu 9.10, but with an NVIDIA card,
Bioshock works great but Guildwars and Sims3 both fail.

Did you use PlayOnLinux to install your games?

Other than that the only advice I have atm is to make sure you edited your x11
conf file (if that is necessary for ATI drivers) because I know nvidia drivers
need a setting changed from "nv" to "nvidia" to use the
official drivers instead of the ubuntu or kubuntu drivers.
