Hi All, Just starting to remove the heavy chain from around my neck that was microsoft and starting to actually enjoy fedora 11. The only windows programs I need to run are counter strike and steam. I am using wine 1.1.23 and have installed steam and css. the game has download in the steam app but when I go to launch it the box pops up saying launching css but then just closes. Not sure what info anyone would need but let me know (and probably how to get it). Cheers, Spill.
I have spent a couple hours looking around and after turning off steam comunity in-game I have now got the splash page on loading. But seems to freeze. Spent too much time on this tonight so will have another go tomorrow. Spill
Hi I have run yum --enablerepo=updates-testing upgrade wine but its telling me everything is up to date Setting up Install Process Package wine-1.1.23-1.fc11.i586 already installed and latest version Nothing to do has anyone got any other ideas cheers spill
i am completley new to linux so thing are going slow at the moment. I have managed to download 1.1.28 and wine --version shows this. i have run ./configure and make, make install. after an age it finally finished. but where before i uninstaled 1.1.23 wine showed in the bottom of my app list and now its not. yum shows wine packages available but not installed but this is the 1.1.23 version and when this was installed i could not get yum to update to a newer version. any help would be appriciated. cheers. spill

ok thanks i did not realise this. does this mean the the app still in my package manager will not run either or will they only work through terminal commands. why will the package manager only run the .23 version of wine and not update to .28. do i need to place a file in the yum.repos.d file for this to happen??? OMG am i lost. Thanks, spill
