wine users - Jul 2009 - Painkiller character stops when holding "Move" keys

So, I'm playing Painkiller for the first time on WINE. I start the first
level and begin to walk forward. However, I notice that if I hold the key longer
than a second, the character will stop moving in that direction. How do I fix
that?

Disable key-autorepeat in KDE/Gnome.
