LLVM Social in Sydney, Australia?
...ode generation currently works ok. Garbage collector is still in progress. If you want to organise something I can rope in another 2-3 people, though like me they’ll be more about LLVM generation vs hacking directly on the LLVM compiler. > That's good enough for me. :) Let's let other lurkers from down under chime in. Thanks Ben! Cheers -- Dean

Dbox and Exim
The Dovecot wiki [1] doesn't list either Exim, Postfix or anything else as supporting the dbox. I did some searching in the Exim archives and have found only one message mentioning dbox, sdbox or mdbox. [2] I think an RFC would go a long way towards getting the format supported. Has Timo, or anyone else, considered submitting an RFC to the IETF? My question was how are we going to use it

Radeon 4800 or Ati in general viable for wine?
Longtime lurker and user of wine, but I'm about to replace my old nvidia card with a newer model and seeing as Ati is open sourcing their drivers. I was wondering if I should get a 4800 card, but only if the fglrx or x86-radeon driver is up to the task :) Like can it run direct3d 9 games like Eve? How about 2d performance in games like fallout 2 and planescape torment?

Issue with private mirror
Hello all, long time lurker, first time poster. I have a situation that has been confounding me for the better part of a week. I run an internal mirror of a Centos mirror, mainly because I have lots of hosts and low bandwidth. For my 7.x hosts, since 7.5.1804 was released, when I do a ?yum update?, I get the following errors on a number of files. "Package does not match intended download.

vorbis-tools 1.3.0 BETA - Help testing.
Dear vorbis-dev lurkers, I bring you the first beta release of vorbis-tools 1.3.0. It has quite a few new features and the final version will have even more, so I am sure it is to everyone's benefit that it gets as much tested as possible so we can do a quick release. Here's the changelog so far: * Fixed an err...

buildkernel errors with "options SMBFS"
Hi all... another lurker and first-time poster... if I forget something relevant please let me know... Anyway, have tried to make a kernel on two different machines under the latest (as of 04:37AM 4 September 2003 -0500 (EDT)) 4.9-PRERELEASE **AND** 5.1-p2 and get the error message as shown below. I am including (at the end) the uname-a from both of the systems. Each of them will compile

Is it feasible to cross-build compat5x binary?
Hi folks, I think we need to update compat5x binary to fix FreeBSD-SA-05:21.openssl, but will the binaries built by ``make universe'' be identical with actual build on Alpha, Sparc64, etc? (Yes, I'm volunteering to do the work iff they are identical ;-) Cheers, -- Xin LI <delphij frontfree net> http://www.delphij.net/ See complete headers for GPG key and other information.

OpenSSH_4.3p1, OpenSSL 0.9.8a 11 Oct 2005 on solaris 8/9
Howdy, Not sure, but it appears that OpenSSH_4.3p1 on solaris creates bad wtmpx entries during login? mgoebel pts/5 Wed Dec 31 19:00 still logged in It is creating entries for Dec 31st 1969. ...es sends the response to the address in the "Reply-to" header if any or to the address in the "From" header. The address of this list is not in either of these headers. I'm sure there are many more responses to postings than I am seeing. This makes it difficult for "lurkers" to learn from the experience of others. -- Jim

Stable version
Hello all, I'm a bit of a lurker on this list, so don't mind me. It appears that klibc-1.1.1 fails when 'cp-to-kernel'ed, using linux-2.6.15. Is it possible to produce another 'Stable' version? Call me a stickler, but I just don't like using something of this grade when marked 'Testing' or 'Unstable' by the developers themselves. Thanks, Aaron

Changing `security@freebsd.org' alias
Hello Folks, The official email address for this list is `freebsd-security@freebsd.org'. Due to convention, there is an email alias for this list: security@freebsd.org, just as there is for hackers@ & freebsd-hackers@, arch@ & freebsd-arch@, and so on. The security@freebsd.org alias has been the source of occassional problems. Several times in the past, postings have been made to

Large Directories Timeout smbfs & Windows
All, This is my first posting to any of the Samba mailing lists. I've been a lurker for a year or so as I've been working on a VFS for the company I'm working for. We're currently using Samba 3.0.10-4 on RedHat AS 3 Update 4 and we are observing the following problem both with our VFS and with shares residing in a Linux directory on the Samba server. If a directory has lots of

[LLVMdev] Odd PPC inline asm constraint
Peter, Thanks! Do you happen to know where this needs to be changed in clang or LLVM. The code that actually interprets the constraints, generically, is in CodeGen/SelectionDAG/TargetLowering.cpp, is clang relying on that code, or is there some frontend code in clang itself that is failing to initially interpret the string? If it is the code in TargetLowering, then I don't see any support

Undocumented behavior around daylight savings time?
Apologies for the intrusion. I am a lurker on list. I have been working to convert a digitized signal from a matlab file into R for analysis and other applications. R.matlab is working fine, and it is easy to convert the matlab date-time number (days since year 0) into R date-time numbers (seconds since 1970-01-01). Unfortunately, when I cast the R date-time number into POSIXct format it seems
