wine users - May 2009 - Wine slower on x64 machines

i Have noticed that wine runs slower on x64 machines why is that? is there any
way to overcome it?

I have never seen this in the 4 to 5 years I have used wine on x64 machines.

it can also be due drivers

but i don't think that's the problem because, all other apps/games runs
at the same speed in both systems
