wine users - Feb 2009 - SCIM malfunctioning on wine 1.1.15

I just downloaded wine 1.1.15, compiled and installed it on my centos 5.2 PC.
It's exciting to successfully migrate applications to linux.  However, I
found that SCIM sends strange codes as Chinese and Japanese characters to
applications.

I need both Chinese and Japanese input methods very much.

Can anyone give me advice to correct this problem?
