[Wine] On the way towards scanning - further hints?
I have an USB scanner which is working well and has been long supported in Linux now (Agfa Snapscan 1212U). But I can't get scanning to work in Wine, where I have installed three applications which should be able to scan (and which are running fine otherwise): ABBYY FineReader 7.0 (OCR) Irfanview 4.10 (image viewer) Photoshop CS (of course, Photoshop). In Photoshop's dialogue 'File - Import' I find 'snapscan:libusb:002:002' among others (there is also an entry for gphoto2 camaras), but when I choose the scanner, I get a Photoshop alert saying there was a problem with the scanner. Below you find the corresponding console output with WINEDEBUG=+loaddll. The other apps mentioned behave in a similar way. Are there any hints to go further, or should I just sit and wait for things to mature? - Fedora 10 - wine 1.1.13, compiled from source Thanks in advance for any pointers Klaus ------------ trace:loaddll:load_native_dll Loaded L"C:\\Program Files\\Adobe\\Photoshop CS\\Zusatzmodule\\Importieren-Exportieren\\Twain_32.8BA" at 0x3480000: native trace:loaddll:load_builtin_dll Loaded L"C:\\windows\\system32\\twain_32.dll" at 0x61170000: builtin trace:loaddll:load_builtin_dll Loaded L"C:\\windows\\system32\\gphoto2.ds" at 0x61190000: builtin trace:loaddll:free_modref Unloaded module L"C:\\windows\\system32\\gphoto2.ds" : builtin trace:loaddll:load_builtin_dll Loaded L"C:\\windows\\system32\\sane.ds" at 0x61190000: builtin trace:loaddll:free_modref Unloaded module L"C:\\windows\\system32\\sane.ds" : builtin trace:loaddll:load_builtin_dll Loaded L"C:\\windows\\system32\\sane.ds" at 0x61190000: builtin trace:loaddll:free_modref Unloaded module L"C:\\windows\\system32\\twain_32.dll" : builtin trace:loaddll:free_modref Unloaded module L"C:\\Program Files\\Adobe\\Photoshop CS\\Zusatzmodule\\Importieren-Exportieren\\Twain_32.8BA" : nat
