Ok guys, I really think I am loosing it here. I finally got a copy of Linux to work well on my Laptop (HPdv5 1003nr) and most games will not load under wine. I have tried: WoW (which works well under my home box with Ubuntu and Nvidia 8800) Half-life 2 (have not tested on the other machine yet - though I do know it used to work) Fear (again only on the laptop) Stalker Space Trader Dungeon Runners(this is a .net issue - not worried about it yet) of the Above mentioned games: WoW, HL2, and Fear all try to load, and never manage to display anything.wine output listed below Stalker and Space trader both load - and Space Trader will get you in game with massive texture corruption (floors missing, arms in the wrong places, etc.) Stalker loads, initializes the graphics engine, and then you get a white box mess on one side of the screen, the minimap, and a mess for a main window (it doesn't resemble anything - def, not just corrupted) Yet the script continues to play out.... Is this possibly a driver issue with the ATI HD3200? or is this opensuse has enough non-standard stuff going on that these are broke? I am using the ATI Catalyst drivers version 8.12 (64bit) I have tried wine versions 1.1.10 and 1.1.11 Any help will be appreciated Thanks in advance.
