wine users - Dec 2008 - Anyone able to install Windows Media Player plugin?

When I run wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu.exe downloaded from 
wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu.exe
I get the screen saying:
"You may be a victim of software counterfeiting"
"This copy of Windows is not genuine."

At the same time standard output gets the following messages:

Is there any way to pass validation?

I hear it's possible to pass if you have a genuine copy of windows running
on your local network.
